Bourjois Cream Blushes - Swatches and Review

Cream blushes are a staple in my make-up collection. They are so versatile and can be used on the cheeks, lips or even eyelids and are perfect for that fresh dewy make-up look that's so on trend at the moment. So when I heard that Bourjois were releasing a cream blush back in early May, I couldn't wait to get my hands on them!

Then the realisation hit that I live in Australia and it hit home that I may not be able to even set eyes on this product for another year. That was until I spotted them on ASOS and suddenly the heavens seem to open (yes, sounds dramatic I know!). So straight to the little ASOS bag it went and I purchased them in all available shades. Also important to know, that if you are a student, sign up to UNiDAYS and you receive an extra 10% off full priced items (Cha ching!).

So here's the run down:

Price: As mentioned, I found these on ASOS and they were $14.00
Weight: 2.5g
Packaging: Small round Bourjois blush style pot with a magnetic closure and mirror inside.
Consistency: Creamy, smooth
Fragrance: A very light fruity rose smell that's barely noticeable unless you stick your nose in the pot.
Application: Very easy to blend with finger tips or stippling brush. Easily to build up colour or sheer out for a natural, barely there look.
Longevity: I found that it lasted fairly well and was still present on my cheeks toward the end of the day. However, you can build intensity very easily, layer products, or even touch up on the go.
Colour Range: I wouldn't say they released a range of colours that are vastly different from one another, but on the positive they are all very wearable shades. However, I'm not sure if they would show up particularly well on darker skin tones.
Finish: A cream to powder formulation that looks very natural on the skin and yes, it does have a second-skin feel.

Overall impressions: A great release from Bourjois, that I find reaching to on an everyday basis. Easy to use and blend, and I find it works well on all foundation basis, or bare skin for a natural looking blush.

Have you got them? Enjoying them?
