Maybelline Colour Tattoo's - Metal Collection - Swatches and Review

After loving the original Maybelline Colour Tattoo's, I thought it was only fitting that once the Metal collection crossed the great oceans and finally landed in Australia, I would give them a go. I have previously looked into buying them on Amazon and the like, but after calculating shipping costs and each eyeshadow coming to around $20, I thought I would do my best to wait out the arrival of them in Australia.

They have released 4 shades in Australia, however I ended up just purchasing the two which I thought would be most wearable for me.

Inked Pink: A soft pink with metallic sheen
Silver Strike: Silver with metallic sheen
Barely Branded: Golden beige with metallic sheen
Electric Blue: Dark navy blue with metallic sheen

Swatches:

So I purchased Inked Pink and Barely Branded and therefore have the swatches for these two shades.

L-R: Inked in Pink, Barely Branded

In Daylight L-R: Inked in Pink, Barely Branded

In Sunlight L-R: Inked in Pink, Barely Branded

So here's the run down:

Price: I bought them from Priceline for $11.95, but you can often find them on sale

Weight: 4.0 g

Packaging: Round glass container with plastic lid

Consistency: They feel somehow lighter and smoother in texture than the original, but still creamy and easy to blend.

Fragrance: No smell or scent noted.

Application: The same as the original collection, they are extremely easy to blend, highly pigmented and very easy to layer. Can be applied with fingers or a brush.

Longevity: True to the original formula, these still hold up to the long lasting claims, however I still can't say whether they last 24 hours.

Colour Range: Being a limited collection release, they only have a few in the range, but hopefully atleast one will delight and catch your eye.

Finish: All shimmery with a metallic-like sheen.

Overall impressions: Still very chuffed with these eye-shadow creams. If you can find a shade that you fancy go for it and enjoy the addition to your make-up collection.

Did you check out this collection? What were your thoughts?
