There's all to often a a gap in the Australian Drugstore make-up, when it comes to releasing pale and deeper shades. And I might also add higher end as well. Too many times I have entered Priceline, or Chemist Warehouse etc., Mecca Cosmetica, David Jones and been told "Sorry, all our Foundations/concealers are too dark for you" and I'm sure I can't be the only one. And my advice? Don't go for that foundation that's near enough, but you know will leave a tide mark unless you blend down your entire body.
Have a look online. You'll find Australia misses out on a lot of shades in the make-up department, and yet Europe seem to stock them. For drugstore buys, I gravitate towards ASOS. In particular I have discovered that Rimmel offer some amazing pale shades, which excites me. Unfortunately you can't exchange them if the colour isn't right, but then you can't here in Australia anyway either. At least, for me, going in store and having a rough idea of the palest bench mark offering is here I can usually gauge whether the colour will be right.
The Rimmel Lasting Finish Concealer hits this brief too, it matches my pale skin tone and actually surprised me how well it performed. It's been compared to the Laura Mercier Secret Camoflague Concealer, however I don't own this so can't exactly comment. What I will say is that it's a thick, creamy concealer that offers a high amount of coverage. It easily erases my dark circles and due to it's slightly drier, thick consistency, it's perfect for covering spots as well. I didn't have any issues with creasing around my eyes, but if you do a light dusting of powder should do the trick.
