Today I am showing off my DIY Opallac Gel Polish Kit manicure, using the shade Shiraz As. It's a lovely deep red hue that makes me instantly feel very winter chic. Now the key to DIY Gel manicure's is all in the application. You definitely need to create a clean, slightly buffered base and apply thin coats to achieve the 14 day claims. However, even if I am a bit slap dash I can still achieve 10 days chip free, which is a huge achievement for me - usually I'm lucky lasting a day chip-free with normal polishes.
I purchased mine from Priceline when it was on sale, but full price it retails for $99.00 AUD, with additional shades $19.95. The kit I purchased comes with a 7 Watt UV lamp, three shades - Cosmolicous, Seductress & High Tea, 1 x Gel Base Coat, 1 x Gel Top Coat, 1 x 2-in-1 Shine & Soak Solution & 1 x 30pk Remover Wraps.
I highly recommend this kit for those wanting longer lasting nail colour, but don't want to or can't fork out for a professional gel manicure.
