Josie Maran - Coconut Watercolour Cheek Gelee

As I write this post, it's a lovely Autumn day outside here in the Southern Hemisphere. The sun is shining, there's a coolish breeze and it's nice being able sit comfortably without the aircon blasting. And what do I have on my cheeks? The Josie Maran Coconut Watercolour Cheek Gelee. It's exactly what I want when I'm after that natural flush on the cheeks and even a subtle lip tint.

As the name suggests, the consistency feels like a very firm jelly, however swatches like a water colour, imparting just the right amount of stain on the cheeks, or lips, without heaviness or overkill. Having a staining effect on the cheeks also means that longevity is fantastic and keeps touch ups at bay. Obviously a pot isn't ideal in a hygienic aspect, but for the texture of the product I think it works best and I find application is best with finger tips or a stippling brush.

This is my first introduction to the Josie Maran cosmetic range, since their launch into Mecca Cosmetica (link) at $27 AUD and I'm quite the fan. I have the shade 'Pink Escape' and I wouldn't mind checking out some other shades, or even other offerings from the Josie Maran range.
