Trust me, it's going to sound bizarre for most of you out there. Possibly even slightly neurotic. But this winter my beauty thoughts have been focused on sunscreen. Yes, that's right sunscreen. Being as pale as I am and living in sunny Australia, summer is the season I dread. It's hot, humid and sun protection is high up on my priorities for obvious reasons. So this year, I wanted to be prepared - trying out my options in winter so I was fully ready for the summer sun. With summer, just around the corner I thought I'd share with you my latest find.
The newest release from ASAP - the Daily Moisturising Daily Defence SPF50 (link). Especially great for those who want less fuss and love the idea of moisturiser + sunscreen combined. Also fantastic for it's high SPF rating - 50+. It has UVA and UVB protection, which is what we should all be looking for in a sunscreen. It also contains Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide to add hydration and prevent the signs of aging.
The texture is quite creamy, but still on the lighter side and it doesn't have that overbearing typical sunscreen smell. It sinks in quickly and I find it works really well under makeup to create a hydrated, smooth base. My biggest dislike is in terms of the packaging - whist easy and functional to use, I would prefer something with a pump that's a little quicker to use in the morning rush. Overall, I know it's going to be a daily must have for me this summer.
